Update from Noor on 07/10/2025: Mohammed was shot in the foot trying to get aid for the couple at the American Aid center. Noor shared with me that he is in a lot of pain and cannot walk while it is like this. She has sent me pictures I will try to upload. She shared she is very tired and food is very expensive, while they are very hungry.
Update as of 2/23/2025: Noor is trying to pay her college fees now that there is a ceasefire. Noor and Mohammed also lost their baby. Please help however you can.
Hello – my name is Sar, and I am making this campaign to get money to my friend Noor in Gaza. Noor had a Gofundme going, but the person running it from abroad deleted the account and is refusing to send her the money, so we are trying again. This is what Noor shared about her current situation:
I am Noor and this is my husband, the love of my life, Mohammed. We are a Palestinian family of two, a husband and a wife, living in the Gaza Strip. My husband proposed to me a year before the war, and our wedding was scheduled to take place after I finished high school. I graduated with honors and we set the wedding date for November 21, 2023. After our marriage, I wanted to complete my studies at the university I wanted to attend. But I regret that we were born and grew up in a country where dreams are nightmares. The war broke and we did not rejoice or celebrate our love and my wedding to the one I loved. Before the occupation army stormed my city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, I got married in my quiet and beautiful house that was demolished after we were displaced from the city of Rafah. The pregnancy continued in the fifth month, and after that the fetal heartbeat stopped. Because of fear, malnutrition, and the lack of healthy vitamins and proteins, my husband lost his mobile phone shop and ability to work.. He worked and lost everything we had in this never-ending war. So far since the beginning of the war, we live in unbearable levels of hardship, we have been moving from one place to another in search of shelter but in reality there is no safe shelter here. We have been displaced five times and every time the danger is getting closer. It is really hard to find full food and clean water and if we find any of them the prices are crazy, we sleep on the floor with empty stomachs and terrified souls. We have lost our beautiful and comfortable home and the neighborhood where we used to live and laugh and sing and dream and feel safe together. All our memories have been stolen from us, and all we have now is a pile of stones. Words are not enough to describe the pain and sadness we feel after losing everything we loved and cared about for no reason. It is really hard to see our homeland, the place we belong to, being brutally destroyed. Now we are in a catastrophe because we have nothing and no place to settle after the war ends, we are stuck here in Khan Younis with the bare minimum of life requirements, filled with fear that we may lose our lives at any moment. All we need and want is to help us survive and get out of danger, we will use the donation to leave Gaza to Egypt to settle down and pay tuition fees to continue studying. Coordinating going to Egypt costs 5,000-7,000$ per family member, plus we will need money to survive and get settled there. I created a donation link to save our lives. Your donation, no matter how small, will help us have chance to continue living in a safe place. Your help is our only hope to survive and continue breathing. We want to make more happy and enjoyable memories and you can help us do that. We are grateful for your interest in our story of survival. And we go to another country outside Gaza, outside the war, away from death, a place where we build dreams and a future that we have planned for so much.
